Uh, what we miss?

There are times in our lives when the stars align in such a way that circumstances beyond our control happen in perfect order, leaving us standing with our mouths hung open, speechless asking ourselves,

"Did that really just happen?"
Several years ago I asked Boy #2 what he wanted for his 12th birthday and he replied,
"I want one of those T-Shirts that says, 'can't sleep clowns will eat me' in black."

And then he rattled off a list of video games. I'm the one that showed him the T-Shirt because I thought it was pretty damn funny. I ordered it and we got it in time for his birthday. He wore it all the time and received a lot of comments and laughs.
One afternoon I had all three boys with me and we had to stop for gas. The gas station had a Subway in it and we were hungry. But Boy #1 and Boy #3 wanted Burger King which was right next door. I gave them money to buy their beloved cheeseburgers and Boy #2, with his 'can sleep clowns will east me' t-shirt on, and I went into the gas station to order some subs.
The cashier, a young kid probably 17 or 18,
saw the T-Shirt,
"Oh my God, that's too funny." And he called the other employees over to see the T-Shirt. Other customers took a look see also. We all had a good laugh and returned to our designated duties, them working and us ordering subs.
Still with grins on our faces we glanced at the entrance of the store and everyone's face froze. A clown walked in, hand on the bible, honest to God, a clown walked in to use the restroom. I suppose she's used to people staring at her because it didn't phase her that the entire store of customers and employees followed her every move wide eyed and dumb struck.
Once in the bathroom with the door closed behind her we all spoke at once,
"Oh my God."
"That was a clown."
"Did you see that?"
"Are you kidding me?"
"What are the odds?"
And all eyes went to Boy#2 and somebody told him to run because the clown was going to eat him. The laughter ensued. When the clown came out of the ladies room we all whipped our heads back to what we were doing, whistling away and looking up at the ceiling as she made her exit. I stood in front of Boy #2 the whole time, hiding his shirt. No body is going to eat my kid.
That was when Boy #1 and Boy#3 walked in and saw everyone in the store laughing,
"Uh, what we miss?"

Bringing funny back

I think I got it back. I emerged out of my hermit-like existence today, if only for an hour, but out of the house and away from my computers. Thank you Harry for the link, it helped more than you will know. Things drop in your lap when you need them, this I steadfastly live by because they are the gentle nudges towards your path in life.

Less than a week of being jobless and I expected the money to come pouring in, patients my precious. Yes, I've already begun to talk to myself, but just one extra voice in my head and I think that one has always been there anyway.

My joblessness is explained here on http://www.skirt.com/. FaceBook had a reminder on my wall to fill in my place of employment, so today I filled it in. Unpublished Freelance Writer and I made myself the President/CEO.

While I write I've also decided to get back into eBay, so anything that has dust on it around here is getting listed. I also have those T-Shirts I made but I'm having trouble with the link where you can vote for it. I'll be working on that. Ebay and the T-Shirts are on the left column of this blog.

My list of writing pieces is growing. The next one to write is, honest to God, hand on the bible, when I was ask for my ID at WalMart. I was innocently buying a sinfully delicious Peach Daiquiri frozen slush mix, which reminds me I have to go buy a case of them, and the young man ringing me up asked for my ID. And he was serious, really. I pretended to be hard of hearing so he had to say it again, louder.

Further Instructions

One of the first little business ventures I tried online was T-Shirts sales, all the way back in 2003. I still have the shop, but haven't paid much attention to it.
The T-Shirts are plain on the front but on the back it looks like someone pinned a note on it. This one pictured says, "Under Surveillance (just act normal). The one I wear all the time says, "Would someone PLEASE stop this woman from spending anymore money? Thanks, her husband.
Under Surveillance is in a contest at www.t-shirtcountdown.com

If my Internet moves any slower while collecting the links for this post, I will break something.

Finally! Here is where you can vote, if you want to! Hey it's a break in the EntreCard dropping monotony. The link goes to the second page in the Funny Category section. Look for my t-shirt picture - vote for it! If you don't see it on the second page go to the first, because the barrage of voting from all of you will take it to the first page.

If further instructions are necessary leave me a comment.

Update: Karen voted for me and moved me to page 1, so I fixed the link!

Under Surveillance

I'm looking for votes! My T-Shirt is in a contest at www.t-shirtcountdown.com. The T-Shirt pictured in this post is the one you will see with this direct link ----> Under Surveillance (just act normal)
One vote will move it to page one, so I will fix the link if necessary.
I've had a CafePress Shop for years now and there are several T-Shirts available and different sayings on the back of them. They look like someone has pinned a note to the back of a T-Shirt. Like a joke! The front of the T-Shirt is plain. Voting is easy, there are 3 blue buttons at the right, the one in the middle is where you go to vote and I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

T-Shirts are at the Top of my List

I haven't blogged about my T-Shirts in a while so that's on my list today, along with taking the Christmas Tree down. T-Shirt blogging on the top of the list, Christmas Tree breakdown at the bottom. I'm not one of those people that keep their tree up until March, but I do put it off as long as I can. Don't believe me when I say I will take it down today, I don't even believe it myself.
Back to the T-Shirts! I opened this CafePress Shop way back in 2003. I got the idea after yelling at one of the boys, because he forgot something - again. "Do I have to pin a note to your shirt?" I took that concept a step further and came up with the idea to have a T-Shirt look like it had a note pinned to the back of it, you know like "Kick Me" all the nerds had on the back of their T-Shirts in school.
My best seller is pictured in this post - "Under Surveillance, (just act normal)" and the one that I wear all the time - "Would someone please stop this woman from spending anymore money? Thanks, her husband" is a popular one too!
I also have Under Surveillance in a contest at http://www.t-shirtcountdown.com/ in the Funny T-Shirt category it's in 28th place right now and I could use some votes if you got a minute! Just look for the picture in this post if it move a place or two.
Now I have something on my list done! And there's no way I'm getting to that tree today.
