In Honor of the Jesus Hippies

With Jesus Christ Super Star's "What's the Buzz" firmly stuck in my head for about a week now, I decided to broaden my horizons and see if I could get the rest of the sound track in there as well. Scouring YouTube and watching short video's all week made me come to the realization that I needed to watch the whole movie, again. Yesterday on Hulu.com I did just that. With the entire sound track buzzing through my head I went to WalMart for my Easter shopping.
Yes, I felt compelled to buy the Tie Dye Easter Egg Coloring Kit in honor of the Jesus Hippies. Below I give you my before and after shots:

They all ended up purple and green, but I think the hippies would think they're far out. My fingers are also purple and green, that's not all coming of anytime soon. Look at them, I look like I just voted in Afghanistan.

Happy Easter Everyone!

I LOVE JCS and watch it every Easter.

I've even met Ted Neeley twice, got hugs, autographs and we flirted with each other... and met Carl before he passed years ago, sad to say.

Ted is so sweet; and I fell in love with him back when I saw the movie in the theatre in the 70s...

"What's the buzz?"...

my kids used to love coloring easter eggs. First they'd melt some parafin wax, dip the eggs in that, and once it's cooled, scratch in a design and then dip the egg in coloring. That would dry and back into the wax it would go, followed by more scratching, and color dipping, and well, you get the idea. That was obviously before the tie-dye came around :)

It made for a horrid mess, but i'll admit, it was fun, and the designs they came up with were pretty cool!

I actually thought about renting the video today so my kids could see it. Happy Easter.

Thank you ReformingGeek!

Maureen - You flirted with Jesus!?!

Skye - That sound too involved for me.

Prefers Her Fantasy Life - I thought of watching it with my teenagers, but I'm not sure if they'd make fun of the hippies or not.

Yep, sure did. And HE flirted with me! (and I'm not even religious...) ;)

Ha ha. I got that song stuck in your head, didn't I?

Nice hippie eggs, and a belated kudos on kicking Entrecard to the curb. I'm doing the same shortly, but I'm still following you. I don't know why (rolling eyes). ;)
