Guest Blogger?

Farvel Cargo is looking for Guest Bloggers. I am having a hard time keeping up with my 2 blogs Farvel Cargo and View of Sue plus blogging for Skirt magazine. Along with trying to write a book and short stories seeking publishing. GAH!
So specifically I would like to open my blog up to new bloggers. If perhaps you've thought of starting a blog and are hesitant you can post here. Or if you just have a humorous story you would like to share.
All I ask:
- The post needs to be humorous, because this is a humor blog.
- You need to be on FaceBook, because once submitted on my blog it is immediately posted on my Wall via Network blogs.
- Once the post is on my Wall, "share it". Yes, all your friends will see it and I will get traffic to my blog.

What is she trying to tell us?

Learning from experience over the years, I know now that I'm not capable of remembering stuff. Like the great ideas I get for a post, the ones that take over most of my brain cells and render me useless until I write it down. Sometimes I have a list, but most of the time I write things down on post-it notes at work and stick them in my pocket. These little pieces of paper are what got me thinking, that and too much TV.
What would happen if I was murdered on my way home from work and the crime scene investigators found these little post-it notes tucked away in my back pocket? Would they think they were clues? Would they ask themselves, "What is she trying to tell us?" Would my mindless drivel, written down on little folded post-it notes throw the CSI guys off the murder trail? It took my 2 days just to decipher one of my own notes, Lady Zipper, last year. How can my murder be solved if I inadvertently direct the investigation in the wrong direction? How do you, my fellow bloggers, remember your ideas?
Thank you in advance for your advice and thank you for reading. I must go now and figure out what to worry about next.

Sue and Bill's Wild Weekend Part 3: And This Will Be It Then

The uneventful vacations, the fun-filled, stress free vacations, are the ones the husband and I take alone. When we returned from our wild weekend, no-one had broken anyone else's arm, there was no throw-up in the back seat and the car didn't lose a door. We just came home and unpacked, with a lot less money, but we would have ended up spending it on the catastrophies that are our children anyway. I can't think of one vacation we've taken throughout the years that they didn't screw up in some way, we've been going about this vacation thing all wrong. We will be leaving them behind from now on.
Just in case my boys read this, "Mommy loves you!"

Cat Owning Guidelines

My evening job brings the crazy general public to me in droves. It's a bloggers dream. Most people try to avoid lengthy conversations with weird strangers, I cherish them, not so much if they smell but if they are a couple bricks short of a load and want to tell me about their goldfish swimming around in their bathtub, I'm all ears. A recent conversation left me thinking, "Huh, I wonder how many cats she has?"
Then I started to wonder, "How many cats do you have to have to be considered a kookamonga?"
Taking it a step further I decided to make some cat owning guidelines. Not being a cat owner and really not much of a cat person I fully expect to offend a few cat people. But you have to realize most people do not look at a woman in a house full of cats as normal by any means.

Cat Owning Guidelines:
1 cat - This is perfectly normal, therapeutic and you probably have lots of friends.
2 cats - It is socially acceptable to have two cats.
3 cats - If you keep adding cats, your friends will stop coming over, you know that right?
4 cats - Acceptable if you live on a farm.
5 cats - You have just entered the realm of the crazy cat people, literature will be arriving in the mail soon.
6 cats - Your house smells like a liter box and you now wear a housecoat.
7 cats - I think by the time you have seven cats you can be classified kookamonga, no I know it.
8 cats - Some would ask you to seek help, I on the other hand, would encourage a conversation so I would have something to blog about.

There Are Charts and Widgets For Everyone

I started this blog almost 2 years ago to promote my online stores. I have evolved Farvel Cargo into humorous look into my life and was on the road to actually making some decent money with it. I had a plan, get Christmas over with and get Farvel Cargo and View of Sue on their own domain. It was all coming together until I got smacked. My page rank, that I just started to move upward, plummeted to zero. Damn. I just started a part-time job last night. Double Damn. I want to work in my little home office while wearing my slippers.

Blog Ranks are important to advertisers, I would advertise on a popular blog too. To me traffic is what an advertiser wants. So I’ve joined IzeaRanks.com. They’ve promised to give us more accurate data on our blog traffic. It’s called RealRank. And I have been getting mine to move. A lower number is better. I have a screen shot here of my RealRank scores. It looks like they are moving up but the chart has zero at the top. So I’m spreading the word around for bloggers to see if you have joined yet and what you think so far. Oh and there’s a widget!

The Diabetic Ride

Yep, that is what my new blog is going to be called! DiabeticRide.com is the domain name that has been registered. I'm just getting the hosting finalize and I'll be ready to start. The Friday before Christmas the husband was diagnosed with diabetes, you can read my post about it here.

For a few months I had been planning on starting a new blog, my own blog, but wasn't sure about a niche. Holy Crap be careful what you wish for. I got my niche. I plan to learn about diabetes through this new blog. It will in no way be me giving advice, it will be about the husbands and my journey to trying to keep him healthy.

I will be looking for other diabetic blogs to link with and the first thing on my list will be finding recipes. If you have a recipe for diabetics I will definitely link to your blog for it. Leave me a comment and I will make sure I let you know when DiabeticRide.com is up and running.
