What do Dreams Mean? Cuz I'm Freaked Out

The other night I dreamt of my grandmother who past over 20 years ago. The following night I dreamt of my other grandmother, she also past over 20 years ago. I can't shake the thought of impending dome. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to see those two ladies again, but I'm a little freaked out.
When my mother-in-law dreams of the dead, it means someone in the family is pregnant. Honest to God that woman is better than a pregnancy test. She knew when I was pregnant all three times before I did. My third pregnancy, the unexpected one, because I know when I'm ovulating pregnancy, she says, "I dreamed of Uncle Chub last night." "Oh God, let's go to the drug store and get a pregnancy test." Positive!
So we can look at my dreams either as the glass is half empty or half full way. Impending dome or pregnancy. Wait a minute! Neither one of those scenarios sound "half full" to me.

My Son the Math King

Around the time our boys reached the sixth grade is when I had to bow out of helping them with their Math homework. Eighth grade is when my husband and his big brain bowed out. Now the middle son was awarded Math King in the second grade and has made it to his senior year without any problems. But the other two needed Math Tutors. I guess we can’t all be Kings.

This is Suppose to be Fun

I don't know if I can take post season baseball. Cleveland Indians vs. New York Yankees tonight at 7:30. It really sucked last night when Cleveland lost. I wanted to be celebrating today. Now Paul Byrd has the ball tonight. Holy Crap, against the Yankees ace! Maybe I'll just go in the other room and watch Dancing With The Stars.

Makes Sense to Me

Ahh the world of computers. Kids love them. I ask my youngest questions about my computer all the time. He fixes things for me. He is very comfortable in front of a computer. It only makes sense to me that when he is struggling in school, I find him help through an Innovative Tutor. To combine something he loves and learning, yeah makes sense to me.

Acorn Obstacle

We had a very busy weekend again. I took a picture of our acorn-laced backyard. We were hanging siding and trying not to break our ankles on the acorns. My husband sat down for a break and an acorn fell on his head. I'm actually surprised no one has been hit on the head until now. My mom told me all these acorns falling is natures way of providing for the small animals. That there is a bad winter on the way. Make sure your snow blowers are working in the Northeast!

We Have Home Insurance, Don't Worry

I just finished staining my deck, a storm was brewing. I got everything put away and sat in my recliner. The wind picked up and we heard a crash in the backyard. “What the hell was that?” My husband and I looked out in the backyard and a tree had fallen on our newly stained deck and enclosed patio. I decided right there, that it was a good time to cry. My husband says to me, “We have home insurance, don’t worry.” “But….” “I’ll go call our insurance agent.” He doesn’t know what to do when I cry.

Chief Wahoo

Now that the Cleveland Indians are in the playoffs, I find myself reminiscing about the 90's Indians team. We were in the playoffs back then and went to the World Series twice. My boys were smaller, but still very much Cleveland fans. We raised them that way. They had the t-shirts to prove it! Back then I also bought them those temporary tattoos. Way cool when you 9, 6 and 4 years old. I put a Chief Wahoo tattoo on each of there cheeks and sent them off to school. Our school system was into Cleveland Indians spirit, so this wasn't going to be a problem or so I thought. Although my boys are close in age, they were all in different school buildings. The 6 year old is my little scatterbrain. He never gave me the school picture information that was crumbled in the bottom of his backpack. I was able to have his picture re-taken and actually order some on picture re-take day, but his sweet little face, with the Chief Wahoo tattoo, will be forever immortalized in the school yearbook!

Smorty Makes Me Smile

I quit my job in January of 2007. My dream job is to work at home. I’m a homebody and not much of a people person. I have a large inventory of tools that I’m selling online, but that has not been bringing in much income. I had to find something else. I started a blog a few years ago to advertise my tools. This past summer I started on a path that I’m staying on, I get paid to use my blog for blog advertising. I found Smorty. The simple concept of bringing advertisers and bloggers together is spreading like wildfire.
I am amazed by the world of blogging. I have learned so much in the past few months and met some very nice people who have helped me tweak my blog. I can’t wait to go to bed at night so I can get up and go to “work”. I no longer dread Monday mornings. I’m getting paid for my opinions and my words, what a great feeling and sense of accomplishment.

That Was Low Class LeBron

Real nice LeBron. There he is Cleveland Cavelier, LeBron James sitting at a Cleveland Indians game, in Cleveland, wearing a New York Yankees hat. When interviewed he said he supports all the Cleveland Indian players and hopes they do well, but he wants the New York Yankees to wins. Huh? Can he hear himself talk? Is he going into politics when his basketball career is over? Fans are what make you a star LeBron. Cleveland fans are cranky and desperate for a championship, they'll turn on you in a blink of an eye. How about a little loyalty?

Hey the Indians won last night, beating the Yankees 12 to 3! Awesome! The Jake was hoppin` and my husband gets to go to the game tonight! Keep it up Indians you have most of Cleveland supporting you.

Who Turned Out the Lights?

We are putting new siding on our house and our old garage doors looked like hell after we got the front of the house done. We had new doors installed but with no windows. We have 3 boys and a basketball hoop, the least amount of windows, the better. So long story short, after the installation, I had to go to the garage to get to my freezer, it was pitch black! I had to feel around for the light-switch. “We are in desperate need of garage lighting.” I showed him the website I’ve been blogging about, www.carguygarage.com, and his eyes lit up.

View of Sue

I started my other Blog in August. I call it the View of Sue. I have a view on just about everything, but right now I'm focusing on television. So far I have been reviewing Heroes, House, Dancing With The Stars, Survivor, My Name is Earl and The Office. I'm trying to handle these reviews without pissing off my husband. Out of the shows I mention, he only likes House. So there is a lot of recording going on with our DVR. Tonight might prove to be quite a test. Our Cleveland Indians start their playoff games against those damn Yankees. I might have to start watching episodes on my computer, all for a happy home life of course.

I'm Really Motivated This Year

I started my Christmas shopping the other day and I’m really motivated to get done early this year. Everyone dreams of a relaxing holiday season. I am in pursuit of a stress free December. Now stop your giggling. I’m at least trying. I have Coupon Chief to help me. Just check all the shopping you can get done there. My geek son will no doubt give me a list of things that I will only be able to find with BestBuy coupons. I bake a lot of cookies during the holidays and I can use some discounts with Target coupons for the baking supplies. Oh boy I need to make a cookie list!

I Dreamt of Him

October 3, 1986, our first child was born. I remember when I was pregnant I would have dreams of him. Yes, I knew he was a boy. Everyone said I was having a girl. I remember seeing him clearly in my dreams. The birth was a complicated one. I got a chance to see him quickly, he was already wrapped up in a white blanket, with just his little face showing. He looked straight into my eyes and looked exactly like he did in my dreams. Then he was wisked away.
Now he's 21 and out on his own, ready to get married. It's not healthy to wish for the past, I'm told. I can't hold that little bundle in my arms again, but never do I pass up a chance to hug him and tell him love him!
Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Increasing the Value of Our Home

The whole reason my husband and I are fixing up our house is because we want to re-finance. My husband said he wants to look into an emortgage. We had our chimney replaced and our front steps re-done. And now my husband is making our back patio an “all year around” room. All these remodeling projects will lead us to increasing the value of our home. I will dance on my rooftop when we are finished!

It's Official

I have started my Christmas shopping. Earlier than ever. Now I've only purchased a few stocking stuffers but it is a start. I always put the stocking stuffer stuff (stay that 10 times fast) off until the last minute and then end up just filling them with candy because I want to be done. Not that there's anything wrong with candy, I'm a big Pro-Chocolate activist, but I wanted to put a little thought into the stockings this year. Along with filling my 3 boys, 2 of their girlfriends and my husbands, I also fill my own. Usually when I tell people this they react with a jaw dropping, your kidding look. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself. My husband will just go to the drug store, grab a handful of candy bars and shove them in a stocking. I grab a handful of candy bars at least once a week. This way I get what I want. The husband comes through with presents and I'll save the story of last years Christmas present for when we get a little closer to the holidays. Don't worry, I wrote it down, I won't forget.

The LAP BAND System, I Saw it on the Internet

My mom starts telling me about her friend, “She’s going to get that surgery where they sew up your stomach to lose weight. That’s major surgery.” “Conroe Lap band surgery?” I asked her. She looked back at me waiting for me to explain why I knew this. “Uhhh, I saw it on the internet, it’s an outpatient procedure.” “Oh, the internet.” She refuses to step into present day technology.

Online Shopping Links

I just added one of my friends to my Online Shopping Link list. Patti of A Beautiful Secret. If you have an online store and want it on my list let me know! The holiday season is here, it's time to not only shop but promote your online store. I got a little shopping done at A Beautiful Secret today too. I can also hook you up at The Crabby Host, I'm an administrator on the forum there. If you have a online store join us! Your membership will get you free advertising at The CrabbyMarket Place. We would be glad to have you there, my screen name there is the same as my blog, Farvel Cargo!

Cabinets with Pre-Installed Lights, Cool!

I finally took our cooler out of our garage, it’s been there since June. It had melted ice in it and a freezer bag, that’s it. Needless to say the cooler is airing out in the backyard. Then I have to find a place for it in the shed. It use to have a place in the shed but my husband has been throwing tools in there. We’ve discussed this before. He needs to get organized and I think I found just the thing, diamond plate cabinets. They’re bright and shiny, they’d attracted him. “Go to the light dear, put your tools away.” These cabinets do have lights on them!

I Added a Chat Box

Just adding to my Blog Flair today. I hope somebody says hi to me. I will add one to my other Blog, View of Sue later today. I have to get over to that blog and review Dancing With The Stars. Dear God what will I say about Wayne Newton? I recorded Heroes, but haven't seen it yet. It was a weird night.
i
It rained and no leaks in the roof, so my husband did something right up there Saturday. Working with him on this house has, at times, been drudgery, but I had the best line last weekend. He is a very smart guy, big brain, and he was trying to figure something out. I can always tell when his brain is at work and I just step back. But this time I said, "Why don't you tell me what you are trying to do and I can tell you a better way to do it." hehe!

I Got it Bad for Mocha Cappuccino

The Mocha Cappuccino at the Gas Stations. I love them. They have way to much sugar in them, but I don't care. I get a large. If the gas station I stop at dares to be out of Mocha, I've found a way around that problem. I mix French Vanilla with hot chocolate. Three parts French Vanilla and one part hot chocolate. Yes, I can stand at the cappuccino machine and concoct a cappuccino to die for!
